Dr. Schnitzer has training and experience in mental health law. She has worked in state and federal prisons and forensic hospitals, conducted forensic evaluations, including assessments of competency and criminal responsibility, and testified in court as an expert witness. Dr. Schnitzer has testified and has expertise in the area of Mental Retardation and the death penalty. She is involved in the restandardization of the premier intelligence and memory measures, the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale and the Wechsler Memory Scale.
